Sweet Virgin

Sweet Virgin handmade from God's pure love,
instilled with graces from high above.
When asked to give her life to God's own plan,
submitted freely to God's command.

Unknown to man, in confusion gave,
her "Yes" to the angel, on whom she gazed.
God's plan, he told her, by Spirit formed
a child within, for the world, be born.

In love she nurtured her Son on earth.
A child unequaled in love or worth.
A Savior sent from our God on high,
whose life the souls of man would buy.

She watched her Son grow to teach and to heal.
The Word of God, He thus revealed.
In love, their hearts grew as two in one,
this mother loving her Precious Son.

Her heart knew soon that their lives would change.
This child, now man, for a purpose came.
To save God's people from sin and death,
redeeming souls through His righteousness.

But how could she ever be true prepared,
to see her beloved Son hanging there,
in anguish, suffering bitterly,
for the sins of all humanity.

Yet, deep in Spirit she knew this plan,
would free the souls of fallen man.
What love, unselfishly she displayed,
her will resigned to the plan God made.
